Pro Shop Winter Series
With just two rounds remaining in the Pro Shop Winter Order of Merit & Eclectic, things are starting to take shape in both tables. Ben Locking secured more points for the order of merit with his fifth place overall on Saturday and extended his lead at the top, whilst long time leader Phil Drowley again failed to add to his tally despite signs of a return to form, although he remains in second.
Paul Allison has regained top position in the eclectic with a two shot improvement, and moves to 55, one ahead of Andy Nicholson (56) with Phil Hassall (58). This is now looking like a two horse race but it’s still feasible that anyone in the top ten can win.
In the daily competition, Dave Dancox secured back to back wins in Division 1, and overall, with a return of 40 points followed by Captain Radar on 37 in second and Mark Skelding third on 36.In Division 2, Kev Berry, fresh from his winter training in Portugal, took top spot with 36, followed by Lee Vowels (35), and John Shields snr. also on 35 but narrowly losing out on a countback.
RGC Winter League
Last Sunday the RGC Winter League finale took place in brutal conditions. Well played to all throughout the winter and the Winter League final results and report will be posted shortly.
This Weekend
This Saturday is the penultimate round of the winter series & eclectic after which things should be so much clearer going into the finale on the 28th of March. On Sunday we have the Alan Kelly Challenge Trophy. To book a tee time on either day please use the app or contact the Pro Shop.
The Pro Shop will be continuing with the bonus ball draw over the coming weeks, and will be starting the ‘Masters Sweep’ shortly with some excellent prizes up for grabs. Please check inside the shop for details.
It’s another decent forecast for the weekend and we look forward to seeing another good turnout and busy course, and don’t forget there are still some great offers in store.
