Pro Shop Winter Series

We have a new leader in the Pro Shop Winter Series order of merit as Ben Locking jumps ahead of Phil Drowley following his top five finish overall. Phil is still comfortably in second but will need to rediscover his earlier form to catch back up with Ben.

In the eclectic Andy Nicholson extended his lead to two shots over Paul Allison who in turn is a further shot ahead of Steve Smith. With just three rounds of the winter series and eclectic remaining there is still all to play for, a couple of decent weeks could see significant changes in both.

In Division 1 on Saturday Dave Dancox took the spoils with a score of 35, just ahead of Steve Smith with 34. Tony Grant claimed Division 2 on 35, whilst Jackie Hassall’s 34 took second. Jackie was in the prizes again on Sunday as part of the winning team in the 4 person AM-AM. Along with team mates Phil Hassall, Jason Smith and Duncan McLeod their score of 86 had them 3 clear of second placed Steve Waters, Andy Hudgeon, Ian Craine and John Shields.

This Saturday is round 18 of the winter series before it draws to a conclusion in March with the 20th and final round scheduled for the 28th. Sunday sees the RGC Winter League no 11, shotgun start at 9am with everyone's favourite - a Greensome!!
